Mission Statement
PURPOSE
To aid cancer patients and their families from diagnosis through survivorship;
To be a resource for ALL cancer patients suffering from any type of cancer;
To provide therapeutic assistance and
program instruction intended
to benefit the cancer patient;
To assist with financial, physical, and psychological needs;
To support patients, their families, and the medical community;
To provide Cancer Education and Awareness Programs to the community;
To enable cancer patients to receive complimentary services including but not limited to:
Psychological Counseling Social Services |
Nutrition Counseling Physical Therapy Lymphedema Therapy |
Support Services Art Therapy |
To provide for general support group activity
for cancer patients,
as well as specialized support groups such as a breast cancer
support group,
prostate support group, and lung cancer support group.
To assist patients with transportation to and from any type of cancer treatments;
To enable patients to purchase wigs, mastectomy
prosthetic bras
and other prosthetic devices;
To assist people in obtaining help with
child/adult care when
they are receiving cancer treatment;
To provide Education and Awareness Programs:
The FCC will offer Community Education Programs
to heighten awareness and Cancer Screening Programs
in Northeastern Pennsylvania.
We will work collaboratively with multiple
organizations such as Susan G. Komen
for the Cure, the Northeastern Regional Cancer Institute
(NRCI) and The American Cancer Society;
Each calendar year, the program uploads a copy or a web link to the report on patient or program outcomes
Need help quitting smoking?
The Foundation offers FREE smoking cessation classes. The
program is a 7 week course with 8 classes total. Classes will
be held at the Delta Medix Center for Comprehensive Cancer Care,
5 Morgan Highway in Scranton at 5:30 p.m. If you or someone

Obtain grant funding
To provide mammograms free of charge to women
without insurance or who are under insured;
To provide Lung Cancer Screenings free of charge to individuals as well as Smoking Cessation Programs to the Community;
To provide Genetic testing and counseling for individuals whose insurance does not cover it or for those who are unable to afford it.
